LocalizationTranslation in Malaysia is not hopeless?

So, after Kendo practice yesterday as usual I passed by the shop outside and apparently Bakuman first volume is published. So yeah I was like OMGWTFISTHATBKMINMALAY?!

It's RM6.30 :| But yeah, I just buy it cuz it's the first volume, got this policy of mine started ever since I bought the Malay first volume of Hitman Reborn which is: buy only the first volume when manga which I like is translated in Malay.

Anyway back to topic, apparently it's Comics House doing the translation (like how it is for Reborn) and compared to Reborn's v1 they improved but... Here comes my long rant for them.

First one I noticed was the uh... flap? (IDK what to call it)

At first I was quite happy cuz I THOUGHT they put the extra bubble with Malay in it. Well surprise! I downloaded Bakuman v1 RAW after I finished reading the whole book and what a bummer, that bubble in which they put Malay in was actually a bubble where it was Chinese sentence.

Going on... Oh hey! They used the style where putting an * above a English-loan/Japanese word and give the Malay meaning on an empty space. That's good but...

See the first one? "Abang Saiko *'killjoy' lah!" > *Merosakkan keriangan
WTF?! Where did KILLJOY came from?! It's not in the original, and yet it's not in scanlations too SO WHERE THE HECK DID THAT CAME FROM?! AND WHY THE HECK IS IT "ABANG SAIKO"?!!

At first I appreciate them translating with Rojak-style but there's too much of them and goes way out from the original Japanese text. More example...

Another major mistake is that WHY IS THERE A LOT OF 'HORA' WORDS? Did they add that as a replacement for an exclamation or something?!

The 5th pic's first bubble has the same word with the English scans, a coincidence?

Is "masakan demikian" in the dictionary? I can understand the subtle meaning but they're using it on the wrong place.

More translation mistake...

First pic:      Instead of putting "tajuk" they put "topik"
Second pic: It's "NAME" not "storyboard" dammit!
Third pic:    They should really just translate once using * and don't need to put the rest in brackets. Really they kept translating "Manga-ka" using the * or mostly in brackets, each and every word.
Fourth pic: REALLY WTF?! IT'S NOT "PENGALIH SUARA" IT'S "PELAKON SUARA" DAMMIT!
Fifth pic:     Big bubble but they don't put the text in? I mean there's not point for them to keep the original text anyway.

Well they got damned lotsa mistake going on but there is some part that worth giving them the praise.

Sheesh I'm tired with all those flaws so imma ending this here. Not that I don't support local translation but yeah, they should keep it up. GempakStarz translates better cuz you know why? THEY KNOW JAPANESE or something that goes with the line if you know what I mean.

So... I've started Internet Role-playing since... 3 weeks ago?

Oh and they have MSN chat group, oh I'm too glued to it... I'll draw some stories based on the RPs... as soon as I got my Wacom...

HOLY SHIT I'M SO HAPPY!!! All thanks to eddsn!

I got frustrated when I was going to try the WLM, then a window pops out "Error-blah-blah-blah-Please reinstall WLM"
So, I went to check on the Add or Remove Programs... but it's not in the list...
Then I went to the installation folder personally to run the uninstaller... But it's not there...
Next, I went to download the installer... But the installer said WLM is already installed...

WTFreak...

And thus my adventure began on the search for uninstalling solutions...
But none of them worked...
After I had gave up for a few months, I went searching again and came across with this which brought me to this.

My lifesaver!

Anyway, cdjapan has put up Hetalia World Series theme song CD 「はたふってパレード」 (Hata Futte Pareedo / Flag waving parade... I think?) for pre-orders! XD

From the looks of the description, HWS will have Hata Futte Parade (<-- song name is temporarily) as the ending theme. Hmm... I wonder how's the opening... And it's Italy singing! Again... They'd better be having all the countries singing too

cdjapan also put up 4 vol pre-orders of HWS DVD!! (actually quite a while already)

Yeah! Another tiring yet fun 2 days of HobbyCon XD I got shocked at first when I heard this time HobbyCon's at CityMall D8<>

Luckily I get to follow Chiaki's transport, which is by her boyfriend's (<---Bernard) car lol I get to see the couples from behind (>//w//<) kukuku

Argh!!! First day is sooooo embarrassing!!! |||orz

At last I got chance to wear the goth-loli dress my relative gave, socks I borrowed from Chiaki while shoes I borrowed IRTea's but I'm too big for her's so I only wore it for performance D8<>bells beside it rings even when I moved my head a little!

Argh!!! OMG!!! |||orz My performance sucked!!! I still get nervous on stage after practicing before that day... WHY?! I thought I can cool down a few seconds after I go on stage, but CAN'T!!! I'm pulling everyone down DX *punchface*

Went back to TeamDayDreamers booth after performance, didn't get to see Makoto and Chiaki sing!! NO!! *punchpunch* orz

Anyway, ShoujoHoney came XD Missed you so much *hughughug* (>/u/<)

One of my classmate from primary school also came to visit (>/o/<) Long time no see! When he came to the booth, I was like OMG!!! I said "Rabbit!" cuz that's the first thing that pop out in my mind DX I only remembered his name after he left |||orz *punchpunch* 3 years no meet and he's that good-looking already X'D 2 of my KOUHAIs also came XD

Yay! Also met with Midori from DeviantArt XD I want to hug her, so cute XD But lol she's the one who recognized me first, and I was like "Eh?" @^@ Who? "I'm Midori" Oh, Midori. How did you recognized me... OMG!! IT'S MIDORI!!! lololol She cosplayed for both days so I didn't really know how she looks like. We took picture together but that's her's, I manage to take her picture with my phone (Yay! I can remember Midori now!), wish I have camera orz

Then second day she drew some art and gave it to me. I feel bad for not giving her any, luckily I got some art (I was planning to keep Chibi Tsuna for myself and Touhou chara to USB) but I gave it to her XD lol "Art Trade!" She said. I dunno how I got it, but Midori's manga was passed around the booth. OMG!! Midori's skill is way better than mine XD And her manga is all hand-done XDD

Eh... sales this year was booming! Was it? I dunno XD

H-Hunters are joining us this year for their first time! Good job on the DOUJINSHI! I love Fatdrake's 4koma OMG there's YARANAI KA and censored CHINCHIN >8D H-Laws also displayed and sell their cosplay props >.<>

Woohoo!!! This year's DOUJINSHI is great! I kept reading over and over including my story lolol And this year I manage to draw illustration for 2010 calender (>o<) Pe-pa-kura came as freebie with the DOUJINSHI XD So cute!! I was planning not to cut it out but my bro forced me DX Hopefully it doesn't die...

I wished I have a camera. Lots of cosplayers and stuff I want to take pictures. And OMG I spot Sora KH2 version who only came on first day, 2 Kagamine which I can't differentiate Rin or Len, and I heard there's 3 FF cosplay groups! *faint* I spot a Tifa cosplayer, short, sexy and cute X'D *nosebleed* There's also Tinker Bell cosplayer on first day and Sailor moon group second day OMG They're shining!!! 8D

After HC ended we went to Tenom coffee shop... OMG I kept telling myself not to laugh while eating XD Seeing them laughing makes me want to laugh to lol When I came back from toilet Abu asked where did I go, I say toilet... "Umm... There's a toilet right here..." WHAT?! There's a toilet in the coffee shop?! *punchpunch* OMG soo embarassing (>///<) He told everyone about it and say I'm a Plum Face? Plump face? I dunno XD What's that? lol And later Shiver was saying something about me that I can't hear @o@ Oh no, why is he smirking with the others in front???

Fuu! Looking forward for next year's HobbyCon!!! I manage to know some CSPians but not most of them yet, didn't have the courage to ask... And I didn't personally meet with Darklightyan and Kiiru >.<>
